Beauty from ashes

Such a beautiful lake that is admired by many AND it was never meant to be there.

Below it's beauty lies a town that was flooded.

I couldn't help but think of the chaos and devastation of people losing everything because of the flood and now I'm looking at it seeing it's beauty and feeling peace.

Circumstances in life can be the same.

When hardships in life hit, we feel the loss. We feel the devastation and the chaos that can flood us like these waters.

When everything settles and we learn how to live again, we get to look back at the very same circumstance that we thought wrecked us and get to see it's beauty and feel peace because of what God does with the wreckage.

What once was devastation, and looked like so much loss within my paralysis, has now become something I get to see God working through.

If you're in a place where all you can see is the wreckage, I beg you, hold on! Our God brings beauty from ashes.
