Reflecting God’s Glory

On Wednesday night, our founder, Katie Mathews, shared her testimony with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The theme of the night was: Reflecting God’s Glory. Katie shared that the very weaknesses she once resented were the very places that led her to submit to God and His will for her life. It was in those places of submission that she found strength through partnership with God—strength that led her into a life she could have never imagined, all for His glory.

Coach John Mosley, from the Netflix series Last Chance U, brought in the W with the important message that this game of life is not a solo game. We Are the Body of Christ, and when we come together, lifting one another up with Christ as our coach we have already won. We reflect God‘s Glory in this situation. When we work for our own glory, we’re on the losing team. It is short lived and will never satisfy.

It was a powerful night to see hundreds of teenage athletes, with their hands up in worship, come to the front to accept Jesus into their lives.

“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” - 2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭NLT
